Questions before you get started

Will it work with my Mac and phone?

Mellan supports macOS 13 or later and Android 10 or later. Both devices need Bluetooth and must be nearby. One Mac pairs with one phone; pairing a different device replaces the existing pair. Bluetooth compatibility varies between devices. For questions about your setup, email help@mellan.app before buying.

What does setup involve?

Install Mellan on both devices, pair over Bluetooth, and confirm the matching code. Allow Bluetooth access, notification access for mirroring, and background activity on Android to keep the connection running.

For automatic clipboard sharing from Android and hotspot control, install the direct Android version and Shizuku. Start Shizuku’s service and grant Mellan permission. Restart that service after rebooting your phone.

Can I share photos or files?

Clipboard sharing supports plain text: links, addresses, codes, and messages, up to 32 KB. Mellan does not transfer photos, files, or formatted text.

Can I reply to messages from my Mac?

You can read your phone’s notifications on your Mac. Replying to messages happens on your phone. Mellan does not mirror your phone’s screen or run Android apps on your Mac.

Do my clipboard and notifications pass through a server?

No. That content travels directly between your nearby devices over an encrypted Bluetooth connection. You do not need an account to use the apps.

How does the 7-day refund work?

Buy Mellan and use it with your own Mac and phone. If it isn’t right for you, email help@mellan.app within 7 days of purchase with your order number for a full refund.
