Refund Policy — Mellan

Try before you buy

Mellan is free to try in full before you pay anything. The trial is the same build as the paid app on the same two devices you would use it on every day. That is deliberate: Bluetooth behaviour differs between Macs, phones and Android skins, so the only honest compatibility test is your own hardware. Please run the trial to the end before buying.

Purchases are final

Because you can evaluate Mellan completely for free, we do not offer refunds on licence purchases once payment has gone through. There is no money-back window beyond the trial itself.

When you complete checkout you receive your licence key immediately. For digital content delivered instantly you are asked at checkout to consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that this ends your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. If you do not give that consent, delivery waits and your withdrawal right is unaffected.

When we do refund

We will always refund you if:

you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling;
the licence key was never delivered and we cannot deliver a working one;
a defect on our side makes Mellan unusable for you and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time.

Mandatory statutory rights — including your rights on defective digital content under §§ 327 ff. BGB — always apply and are not limited by this policy.

How to ask

Email help@mellan.app with the email address you used at checkout and your order number. That inbox is read by the person who wrote the code — there is no ticket queue in front of it.

First reply: within 2 business days.
Billing, licence keys and refund requests: resolved within 5 business days.
Complaints: if an answer did not satisfy you, reply withcomplaint in the subject line. We answer complaints in writing within 10 business days, or tell you why we need longer and by when.

Our order process is conducted by Paddle.com, who are the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles returns and can also be contacted directly at paddle.net. Paddle may grant a refund at its own discretion under its Buyer Terms, independently of this policy.
